GameStop Reports PS4s Back In Stock While They Last
The largest video game retailer in the U.S. now says they’ve got PS4s in stock. For now.
The PlayStation 4 sold 4.2 million units worldwide as of the end of 2013. To think they could have sold more if during that time people could buy one. Since the console’s November launch, finding a PS4 on store shelves or online was an impossible task; you’re chances of being hit by lightning was better than stumbling upon an unclaimed system in the wild.
Although, now it appears that your chances of buying a PlayStation 4 are clearing up this month. Major video game retailer, GameStop, issued a recent press release stating that the PlayStation 4 is currently back in stock across its numerous locations around the United States.
“We have been working closely with Sony to replenish our inventory levels of the PS4 as quickly as possible to ensure the many customers still looking to purchase one are able to do so,” said Senior Merchant Darron Nielsen of GameStop.
Most likely, inventory for the PS4 will greatly vary from individual store to store. So, it might be a grand of an idea to call ahead and ask if the GameStop in your area has one. And if not there, then perhaps checking other marketplaces – Amazon or Best Buy – will better your luck. Word is, Sony is slowly meeting PS4 demand and should be able to deliver more units to retailers from here on out. Good news, indeed.
