Final Fantasy Type-0 Gameplay Demonstration by Square Enix

At a “Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy” tournament held last May the 21st by Square Enix in Japan, the attendants were presented with an advance of “Final Fantasy Type-0″ live gameplay.

“Final Fantasy Type-0″ (or “Reishiki”) is part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis (Latin for “New Tale of the Crystals”) mythology, as are “Final Fantasy XIII” and “Final Fantasy Versus XIII”. Though the three games share the same “Universe”, the stories take place in different time-periods and have nothing to do with each other.

This means we’ll be able to play Type-0 without having played the other two. We’ll have to wait until summer, though.

The events take place in a world called Orience, in which there are four nations: Milites, Anaze, Kogai and Rubrum, each bearing emblems based on the Four Symbols of Chinese mythology (the White Tiger, the Blue Dragon, the Green Turtle and the Red Pheonix). War breaks out when Cid Aulstyne, leader of Milites, refuses to abide to the Pax Codex (“Peace Treaty”) and sends the l’Cie military to invade the other countries. Having conquered Anaze and Kogai and taken their crystals, the Milites set their aim on the Suzaku Fiefdom of Rubrum. For reasons unknown, the crystal that was keeping the invading armies at bay suddenly shatters, leaving the nation no choice but to surrender. However, a group of twelve students from Class Zero, whom still posses the power of the crystal, are not willing to let their country fall and Milites have its way so easily.

That’s when we take control of these twelve characters in an action RPG style that features co-op multiplayer in a way that has been deemed “unique”.

The following clips show the mentioned gameplay demonstration as it was transmitted online on Nico Nico Douga. We can see an introduction to the basics of the game, the landscape of Rubrum, the dynamics of battles, multiplayer battles and missions, and also, the airship’s flight.

After seeing this, I know I’m getting my hands on this game as soon as it comes out.

Some games just capture your attention with their catchy name and this is one of those games which will not only by name but game too a real Stupendous. This is “Final Fantasy XIII”, which will take your mind into their fantasy land being conformed to get release on March 9, 2010, it’s sure to get a much better response.

The game’s strategic nature makes things more interesting as it’s the system has been rooted to create battles. Taking place in a world known as Pulse, the enemies are included into the environment around the protagonists. The best thing is that the battles don’t play anywhere in the world but the characters and teleported to a new battle screen which is different from the playing world.

The player can also use multiple commands while attacking some one to achieve attack bonuses. The player can also use magic in a battle with the engaged enemy. The camera movement during the fight makes the battle transition nearly flawless.

One of the best features of this game is that the “break State” in which the enemy enters a state of reduced retaliation. This can only be achieved when a chain combo of attacks has been maintained for a certain period of time.

Being a role playing game, you can play with up to 7 main characters and each of them with different physical and magical powers. Its outstanding graphics and soothing background music will really capture everyone’s mind and hearts.

If you are a fan of the previous Final Fantasy games, you would definitely like the Final Fantasy XIII. The Final Fantasy XIII revolves around the fal’Cie, which are angelic characters but with mechanical characteristics. They have crystals within them, which gives them power and they have the power to mark people who are meant for greater purposes.

These people are called l’Cie who have to fight demons called Eidolons. However, if things go wrong, they can turn into monsters called Cie Corpse. Thus, the plot of Final Fantasy XIII revolves around myths and legends and comes with a superior plot that will keep the player’s imagination stimulated.

This futuristic civilization illuminated by the Light of the Crystal helps the gamers to use cutting edge technology, which has gone into the development of the game. The transitions between real time and others are seamless and thanks to the tangible and intuitive controls, playing the game is really satisfying.

Final Fantasy XIII is inarguably one of the most awaited video game this year. At Square-Enix’s TGS 2009 booth, the demo of the game revealed two combat systems namely Optima and Driving. Both the modes are at the opposite ends of the pendulum and provide a great opportunity for players to experience extreme sides of the game.

Optima allows the player to decide how his team reacts and responds to the action as it unfolds. Thus, Optima can be described as a mode that involves strategies and analytical decisions. Driving Mode is exactly the opposite and it involves brute force and using special forces to fight the enemy combatants. However, many insiders feel the demo does not impress people who look for high difficulty levels. Final Fantasy XIII PS3 would be released in Japan this December and in North America by Spring 2010.

I am sure this is going to be one of the most expected and highly awaited games this season and the next even. Thanks to its glossy graphics, amazing gameplay and equally versatile characterizations, the game shall surely be a great success. The game is so anxiously awaited that there have even been some custom consoles inspired by Final Fantasy XIII. Both PS3 Slim fans and Final Fantasy lovers could unite for two reasons: one that a new 250GB PS3 Slim is coming out and also that it has cool new Final Fantasy 13 graphics all over it.

Unlike the previous PS3 Slim Colorware paint job, this one doesn’t just have a one color design but includes a ceramic white coating and a Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Character printed in pink on top. Moreover, the PS3 Slim controller will also be in ceramic white, making for a beautiful White PS3 Slim set.

Wow! This will definitely make some people happy when it is released on December 17th, 2009 in Japan. Also, this is actually official and not like the Final Fantasy XIII PS3 Slim Mod we seen before being made as a conceptual design, so at least we know it is real.

With his blond spiked hair, blue eyes and chiseled features, Cloud Strife is one of the most popular gaming characters ever. In fact, most people know Final Fantasy VII and its sequels because of Cloud and his enigmatic personality. He has been inspiration for many fan based merchandize such as action figures, jewellery, posters and even wallpapers.

The Final Fantasy VII Cloud Strife Static Arts Statue is a highly detailed must-have for any fan worth his or her salt. The statue comes bathed in the protective light of Aerith’s church and there are also flowers which are strewn all over in remembrance.

The statue is made of PVC material and is about a thirteen and a quarter inch tall. The packaging is pretty cool too, with a stylish window box thrown in. The Cloud Strife statue is dressed in dark clothes and he even carries the typical Buster Sword which looks quite menacing, especially when he seems to be waving at all the offenders.

The Cloud Strife Statue costs $154.79 and is worth every cent you would spend on it. If you actually are crazy enough to want it, there is also the dedicated Final Fantasy VII PS3 Console which even comes with a Cloud Wolf Logo. Meanwhile, it was reported that Final Fantasy XIII could be delayed in the West.

If you have always been a great fan of Final Fantasy, you would certainly be waiting for release of Final fantasy XIII which is being developed by Square Enix. It would be first be launched in Japan as usual and later in Europe and north America on PS3. The game is set in a futuristic and high tech world that appears to take the nature of video game battles to a level of its own. Djeric has thus modded a Final fantasy 13 themed PS3 for a friend.

The mod looks amazingly cool and the large Final Fantasy 13 graphics in the front only hides the disk slot at the back. Perhaps this mod would set the right mood to al those who have been waiting for the FF 13 to be launched. However, the mod could have been further customized to have another image or picture attached to the back o that the Final Fantasy 13 look would have been complete.

Nevertheless, the mod is quite stylish and since the enemies are integrated into the world environment in the game, you could do a similar thin by integrating other Final Fantasy 13 images and paraphernalia in your room. We had come across the cool Final Fantasy VII PS3 console way back in January. We had also heard rumours about the Final Fantasy XIII being released real late in Europe and North America.

Final Fantasy XIII May Be Delayed in the West

Final Fantasy XIII is perhaps the most anticipated Japanese game and we recently read about Square Enix’s plans to launch it first in Japan and later in U.S. and still later in the E.U. While this is already old news, the game seems quite a compelling thing to ignore easily. The game comes with several mind-blowing features like the special command system ‘Launch’. It would allow the player to throw enemies into the air and annihilate them. There are many such newer and more violent ways to eliminate the enemies in the game.

A pet peeve could be the fact that Square Enix announced yesterday saying they would not be releasing the Blu-ray final Fantasy XIII Demo in the West. Maybe the demo would be released as something that can just be downloaded. However, the Blu-ray quality and content which the Japanese players might get to play may not be available in the versions which would be made available in the Americas and European Union.

We will only know more about the game when Sony will hold its press conference a few weeks later. Moreover, we would also have to wait for the game to be released in Japan, as that would make a lot of information about the game’s future in the west be leaked through over enthusiastic fans in Japan. While we wait for the Final Fantasy XIII, you can spend your time using the Final Fantasy VII PS3 Console.
